Refused Visa and Immigration – UK

In case your request for visa to migrate to the UK gets rejected by immigration, there are ways to reapply or ask for reconsideration of your visa. Below are the steps to be taken to ensure that you can apply for reconsideration.

You can apply for reconsideration under the following conditions:

  • If you applied to extend your visa to the UK
  • If you want to settle in the UK
  • If you want to transfer your ‘Indefinite Leave to Remain’ visa to ‘Transfer of conditions’ or ‘No time Limit’
  • If you intend to switch your visa category

While you make a request for reconsideration, make sure you have the following:

  • Evidence of the New date of application
  • Proof that the documents you resubmitted are authentic
  • Proof that the information you provided to the UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) before the date of decision was not made available to the team who rejected your visa

Under some circumstances, your appeal for reconsideration too can be rejected.

  • You made a new application before or after you send the request for reconsideration
  • You are granted to stay in another visa category by the UKVI
  • Your visa has expired
  • You were deporter from the UK
  • You have exhausted your rights over judicial issues
